You are walking down the highway when zombies come out of nowhere, ready to rip you apart. You pull out your rifle and shoot them all in the head, but do not forget rule No. 4, always double-tap because one shot to the head is not always enough.
The hilarious movie "Zombieland" contains 32 different rules on how to survive a zombie invasion. The rules are created by the phobic main character, Columbus, played by Jesse Eisenberg.
The movie starts like any other zombie movie; there is an invasion and zombies are everywhere, while the few survivors remaining try to find refuge in a safe location.
Columbus is on a quest to get from Texas to Ohio, where his parents live, in hopes they are still alive. Along the way, he teams up with Tallahassee, played by Woody Harrelson.
Tallahassee is a tough sure-shooter while Columbus is the geek, who fears clowns. Together, the two meet with two sisters, Wichita, Columbus' love interest played by Emma Stone and Wichita's younger sister, Little Rock, played by Abigail Breslin.
Although the four characters have trust issues, they finally agree to stay together and travel to a safe location as one group.
Throughout the movie, the four experience hilarious times while killing off zombie after zombie. Just like "Shaun of the Dead" faced zombie invasion with humor, "Zombieland" provides audiences with many laughs, including a hilarious cameo by Bill Murray.
Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita and Little Rock decide that their destination of safety is an amusement park rumored to be zombie-free.
"Zombieland" was a hilariously good time. Any lover of zombie movies could really appreciate the plot and humor of this movie.
Throughout, Columbus states his rules of survival and an example of it is displayed.
Rule No. 1 is cardio. If you cannot outrun the zombies, you are doomed. Overweight people are usually the first to go. This would lead him to rule No. 18, limber up, because you would not want to pull a muscle while trying to outrun a flesh-eating zombie.
One of Columbus' biggest rules is No. 17, do not be a hero. Worried he will become a zombie himself while trying to be a hero to impress Wichita, he leaves many zombie shootings to Tallahassee who, amazingly enough, never misses a shot. However, in the end he is forced to break some of his own rules.
"Zombieland" is a fun-filled movie to see with a group of friends for an enjoyable night out. Tired of the typical scary movies being played in the theaters and on TV during the Halloween season? Why not mix it up with this humorous action-packed film?

And also remember rule No. 32, enjoy the little things.
